4Focus ("the app") is a task management app for iPhone built around the Eisenhower Matrix. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your information.
The short version: we don't collect, store, or share any personal data. The app works 100% offline and requires no account or registration.
2. Data Storage
All data you enter in 4Focus — your tasks, completion status, and creation dates — is stored exclusively on your device using encrypted local storage.
- Data is protected using iOS NSFileProtectionComplete, meaning your files are encrypted and inaccessible while your device is locked.
- No data is ever transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.
- Deleting the app removes all associated data from your device permanently.
3. iCloud Backup
If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, your app data may be included in your personal iCloud backup. This backup is managed entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. 4Focus has no access to your iCloud backup.
4. Calendar Access
4Focus can optionally export tasks to your calendar using Apple's EventKit framework. This feature:
- Is entirely optional — the app works fully without calendar access.
- Requires your explicit permission before accessing your calendar.
- Only writes events — it never reads, modifies, or deletes existing calendar data.
- Exports to your default calendar, which may sync to iCloud, Google, or other services depending on your personal calendar settings. 4Focus has no control over this sync behavior.
You can revoke calendar access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.
5. No Third-Party Services
4Focus does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or crash reporting services. The app uses only Apple's native frameworks.
6. Children's Privacy
4Focus does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is safe for all ages.
7. Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes in the future, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
